KOMFORTS Daugavpils II

Designed in the commercial center of Daugavpils building houses Daugavpils store of the sanitary ware and HVAC retailer Komforts and office space in second level.

M.A. DESIGN is completing project to renovate the shell of the building and bring it up to modern visual and technical standards.

New cold-ventilated timber structure is planned to create double-sloped roof which will house photovoltaic shells to produce clean energy for the building.

Facade is to be insulated with 200mm of insulation and covered with locally produced timber shingles (www.modernschindel.com. With support of the client ambitious green color was chosen for the facade creating strong image of this newly renovated building. New windows, doors and modern HVAC systems along with solar panels are installed.

As a total novelty in Latvia - natural sheepwool from 1500 sheep shearing is used as insulator for the 400sq.m. attic making this the largest use of natural wool insulation in Latvian history.

Open office of 500Sq.m. will provide new, high-quality, versatile and highly adaptable rent space in the second level.

Building renovation was completed using financial support from EU funds.
